 sumé :\nFor most humans it is “natural” to interact with other human
 s and in particular to use non-verbal communication as a mean to convey in
 tention\, emotion and to give a purpose to an interaction. What happens wh
 en people are interacting with robots and in particular with emotional rob
 ots? In this talk I will present some of our latest advances in HRI in the
  wild. Our research results are used to understand human-machine interacti
 ons and human-robot interactions and to create artificial awareness: socia
 l awareness\, emotional awareness… by using artificial emotions.\n\nPour
  la plupart des gens\, il est normal d’interagir avec d’autres personn
 es et d’utiliser la communication non-verbale comme un moyen de partager
  ses intentions\, ses émotions et de donner un sens à l’interaction. M
 ais que se passe-t-il quand nous interagissons avec un robot\, un robot é
 motionnel ? Dans cette présentation\, nous allons parler de nos récents 
 travaux sur les interactions homme-robot hors du labo. Nos résultats sont
  utilisés pour comprendre les interactions entre humains et machines et e
 ntre humains et robots afin de créer un état de conscience artificielle 
 : conscience sociale\, conscience émotionnelle qui utilise les émotions 
 artificielles.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nGentiane Venture is a French Roboticist who h
 as been working in academia in Tokyo\, Japan for more than 10 years. After
  graduating from Ecole Centrale de Nantes and obtaining a PhD from Univers
 ity of Nantes in 2000 and 2003 respectively\, she works at the French Nucl
 ear Agency and at the University of Tokyo. She started in 2009 with Tokyo 
 University of Agriculture and Technology where she has established the GVl
 ab\, an international research group working on human science and robotics
 . The researchers at the GVlab try to encompass human motion dynamics and 
 non-verbal communication into complex intelligent robot behavior design to
  achieve personalized human machine interaction. The work of her group is 
 highly interdisciplinary by collaborating with therapists\, sociologists\,
  psychologists\, physiologists\, philosophers\, neuro-scientists\, ergonom
 ists\, bio-mechanists\, designers worldwide…
